Organic violet pigments

Organic violet pigments are used to produce deep, intense and stable colors in paints and coatings, plastics, PVC, rubber, printing inks and polymer masterbatches. These pigments have high color strength, shade accuracy and long-term color durability, which is especially important for products used under various climatic and technological conditions.

Unlike mixed systems based on blue and red pigments, these materials allow the production of clean and reproducible violet colors without unwanted undertones. These pigments are suitable for both decorative coatings and industrial systems where color stability and resistance to thermal and mechanical loads are required.

Advantages of use

Violet pigments has the following advantages:

  • high color strength and shade purity;
  • color stability at high temperatures processing;
  • excellent lightfastness and weather resistance;
  • uniform dispersion in binder systems without dissolution;
  • low migration and minimal fading;
  • compatibility with various binder and polymer systems;
  • accurate shade adjustment when mixed with other colors.

Whith these properties, these pigments are a universal solution for thin-layer coatings, mass coloration of products and polymer compounds, ensuring uniform appearance and long-term color durability.

Main types of violet pigments

Dioxazine pigments

Pigment Violet 23R (PV 23R) — violet with a reddish undertone, high color strength and opacity. Used in paints, printing inks and polymer compositions.

Pigment Violet 23B (PV 23B) — bluish-violet shade with enhanced lightfastness and thermal stability. Used for coloring plastics, PVC, rubber and masterbatches.

Areas of application

Violet pigments are used in:

  • decorative and industrial paints and coatings;
  • architectural and protective coatings;
  • printing inks and specialty color formulations;
  • coloring of plastics, PVC and rubber products;
  • polymer masterbatches and composite materials;
  • automotive enamels and industrial coatings.

Due to their high color intensity and stability, they allow the production of both deep dark tones and complex pastel and light shades when mixed with other pigments.

Our catalog includes violet pigments with red and blue undertones, allowing precise shade selection for specific technologies, binder types and coloring requirements with guaranteed quality and stable features.
