Pigment Yellow 3, also known as Lightfast Yellow Pigment 10 G (PY-3), is an organic pigment belonging to the group of monoazo pigments.
It features a cool, pure lemon-yellow hue. Thanks to its high hiding power, excellent lightfastness, and resistance to weathering, PY-3 is widely used in the production of paints and coatings, printing inks, and textile dyes.
This pigment also serves as an environmentally friendly alternative to Lemon Chrome, as it contains no heavy metals.
The pigment imparts a bright, light lemon color to the final product, close to RAL 1016 (Sulfur Yellow). When blended with other pigments, it is used to create shades such as RAL 1021 — (Rape Yellow), RAL 1028 — (Melon Yellow), RAL 6018 — (Yellow Green), RAL 6017 — (May Green), and RAL 6024 — (Traffic Green).
